Maui drawing journal

Went to Maui for a week. We stayed in Lahaina on the west coast of the island. These watercolors highlight the bamboo rainforest Bill and I explored, the sugar cane fields, the bay next to Lahaina where we saw MANY humpback whales and their calves, quick sketches at a beach, and one of my favorite highlights of the trip, sitting under a 150 year old banyan tree in downtown Lahaina and just painting. The building above is the ABC store and the Front Street Grill. Aloha!

I love the colors and line quality in your work! It makes me want to go back to Hawaii. The little people-watching sketches are cute too :)
